Results in 2010
- Out of 231 calls received, 67 people stayed with us.
- 47% of our guests were under the age of 25
- 67 guests had respite, enjoyed the friendship, and Christian love of volunteers and each other.
- 21 guests stayed over 28 nights, the longest being 119 nights. The average stay of our guests was 23 nights.
- Of the guests that actively engaged with the C4WS Welfare Worker, 96% were assisted in securing accommodation, returning home or moving in with friends.
- Only 1 out of the 67 guests that stayed with us were banned and we were unable to assist 2 guests due the complexity of their circumstances and/or because the shelter closed. However we continue to work with these guests through the summer months to see how we can assist them futher.
- Only 12 out of 67 guests disengaged down from 36 last season.
- Volunteering at C4WS increased from 275 in 2009 to over 300 in 2010
- We helped 7 guests find and secure employment.
- 20 guests were given starter packs for their new accommodation.
- C4WS provided emergency accommodation those with no recourse to public funds. In total 33% of our guests had no recourse to public funds.
